What this service is, and what it is not

Crypto Master is a tracking and calculation-aid tool: it brings your exchange accounts and your wallets together so you can see them as one, and it works out amounts you can copy onto your tax forms. It matters to say what it does not do, because this field lends itself to misunderstanding.

• It holds no assets and moves none. The API keys you entrust to it are used to read your history: it places no orders and makes no withdrawals. A read-only key is enough, and it is the only kind you should hand over.
• It provides neither investment advice nor personal recommendations. The figures on screen describe your own movements; they are not an inducement to buy or sell, nor a forecast.
• It is not a crypto-asset service provider. It neither holds assets on behalf of third parties nor buys, sells or exchanges crypto-assets, and therefore carries out no activity subject to registration or authorisation on that basis.
• The calculations are indicative and are not a tax return. Cost basis and gains are reconstructed from the data you import and from publicly available prices; their accuracy depends on that data, and the screen says what it cannot price rather than replacing it with a zero. This also holds for the form 2086 simulator and the 3916-bis help: you copy the amounts yourself, filing the return stays yours, and none of it is personalised tax advice.

Intellectual property

The structure of the site, its texts, its code and its graphic elements are the property of the publisher, with the exception of the trademarks and logos of the third-party services mentioned, which belong to their respective owners. Any reproduction or representation, in whole or in part, without prior written permission is prohibited. The data you import remains yours.
